Electrical overheating and the inflammable
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment (HVAC), contrary to keeping data centres cool and well-ventilated, poses a risk due to its motors, electrical components and gaseous refrigerants. Power cables can also spark off, igniting other components and the surrounding infrastructure.

"The undetectable fire"
Raised floors and suspended ceilings in data centres present a hazard. Without a reliable detection system for quick response, the enclosed nature of these spaces makes it hard to spot a fire breaking out. A spark gone invisible for just a few minutes will result in huge losses.
